I like the look and feeling of a NATURAL portrait, and after years in a studio set up, I find the great outdoors is the best place to go for lighting and backdrops, regardless if you are looking for soft or dynamic.
I want to be able to capture the expressions that really say who you are, and what you're up to.
Here are a few of my favourite portraits, taken in just the past few years.
In the fall of 2007, big brother "I" was so excited to welcome home baby "E"

One day in early 2007, I had a houseful of kids, and the light through my front window was amazing
We spent a fun filled afternoon capturing these wonderful images

Anyone who has a pet knows they are part of the family, and when we have to say goodbye, it is heartbreaking. In 2006 I went to this family acreage for a farewell family portrait.

"A & J" are friends of my daughter, and they love to ham it up! They are always so much fun to photograph. They are such beauties, and I am glad to be able to keep such a regular portrait session with their family.

These 3 are my beauties! These 2 portraits were taken in 2005 and 2006, and you can see how much they changed in such a short amount of time. Snapshots are a great way to record what our kids are up to, but taking the time to show who our kids are, is what makes a portrait special.
