2010! A new year, a new decade. I can not wait to see what it has in store for us. I am looking forward to all it has to offer. The new things my children will discover, the new relationships we will all develop.
There are many exciting opportunities I am looking forward to with Allison Smith Photography.
Just before Christmas I completed my Digital Imaging Certificate at NAIT, bringing in another aspect to my business.
I am almost fully booked for the summer wedding season, and have already been taking Family Moment session reservations. This was my first winter session. January being as mild as it was, I was thrilled to returned to the Ansah acreage for their updates portraits, which will be fully featured on my newly designed website, due to be published soon.
So, I wish you all the best, and hope to have an opportunity soon, to capture your Moments!

People believe in many different things this time of year. I believe in warmth. Not just the warmth that we seek on these bitter cold days, but the warmth that makes our heart glad. Having family and friends is the best gift, and I wish that to all of you. I am very happy to have mine.

I send my most sincere thanks to everyone who made 2009 the best yet for Allison Smith Photography. Your business is appreciate, and the fun I had with each of you made it all the better.

I also want to thank everyone who has stopped in to visit this site. I hope that if you have not already taken the opportunity to call and make arrangements for your photographic wants and needs, that you will do so soon.

I have only a few available weekends remaining for the 2010 summer wedding season. These prime times fill up quickly, so if you are interested in a consultation, for any time of the year, I encourage you to contact me as soon as you are able. I look forward to hearing all about YOUR Fairy Tale ideas, no matter how grand or simplistic they may be.

With Jack Frost Nipping at our Noses

What better way to end the year, then to welcome this warm bundle of JOY, a beautiful baby boy. In the cold, cold (did I mention cold!!) early days of December, I drove out to St Albert for an at home session. At only a week old, I told his mom how funny I find it, that after having 3 children of my own, that new baby smell seems so much stronger now that I don't have it at home anymore. He is certainly a precious little one, thank you for having me in your home . . .

Trial of Love

Fort Saskatchewan is home of a wonderful little museum dedicated to the RCMP who founded this city. Although it is currently undergoing expansion construction, the court house was an original host for this "trial of love". The attached grounds made an ideal location for the bride and groom's formal portraits in this "casual" wedding package".

It was a Blistery Day...

and although the leaves had already fallen in their yard, we had a 360 degree panorama of fall splendor at this Andrew area acreage.

Wetlands Conservation Area

We snuck in the last decent weekend of the year it seems. Even though it was the first weekend in October, it was chilly, nearly cold, but we were able to capture the beauty of Fall for a few families down at the Fort Saskatchewan Wetlands Conservation Area. These family groupings will make fantastic Christmas cards!

Babies have all the Power

Last week my youngest had her first full day at school, so it's understandable how I could have forgotten how potent the smell of a freshly bathed baby is! I tell you, that scent kicks you right in the gut (or uterus!) and brings back memories of your own. This is a healthy and happy baby, who came into our world very early...and she is very adoroble. Thanks Amy for letting me come over today! (customized birth announcement now available)
